Are you struggling with numbness and wondering how to overcome it? You remember you once felt your body sensations fully, your emotions, your body and over the years something happened, you might not even be aware of what happened, but you suddenly feel numb? In this article, I want to share with you some ways that helped me to solve it finally, to overcome emotional numbness all for go(od).

I had struggled for many years with emotional numbness not knowing how to overcome it and could finally, after many trials and errors, figure it out and manage to feel love, romance, passion, and my femininity and become graceful again.

 

Stop listening to others

First what was helpful to me in overcoming emotional numbness, was to stop listening to others. Be aware of helpful friends that might get you off track and distract you from feeling what you need to feel. When I solely listened to my inner team, god creator of all that is, and myself using my discernement things got better.

Do your thing, listen to yourself.

This brings us to the next step: Do your thing, listen to yourself not others. What definitely helped me during my journey to overcome numbness, help me to feel again, was to stop searching for answers in books or elsewhere, to listen to myself, and use my own innovative approach.

Set out on the path

I believe once you decide to set out on the path and set the intention to move forward truly, this is what will happen. Being and staying loyal to those I truly deeply love was one of key success factors to stop feeling numb. This involves staying loyal to yourself. Once I stopped always searching for the new and decided on true deep love and romance, fully accepting and desiring to connect with my divine feminine this is what happened.

You are highly sensitive, intuitive, empath, psychic. Are you wondering how to deal with not feeling good enough? Have you tried different solutions to overcome this? Julia Noye founder of art of a different, happy, healthy & successful lifeWorking as inner SUBSTANCE coach and expert in body-mind-soul communication, after having thought, searched, and reflected on this topic for the past ten years and tried different approaches (such as e.g., hypnosis, eft), I believe telling yourself you are good enough if one part in you believes he or she is not, is not the best to overcome this in sustainable ways.

 

I know, when you do not feel (good) enough, there is a very specific and valid reason for it. From my experience, there might be one tiny part in you who believes he or she is not good enough. This part has a very very valid reason for believing it. When you tell yourself, ‘You are good enough while one part in you believes you are not, you disrespect one part of you’.

Believing or telling yourself you are good enough while one part of you feels he or she is not, is, according to me, emotional invalidation. If you emotionally invalidate this part in you, you, in fact, do exactly the same that other people do or did to you.

How to deal with not feeling good enough

For me, to overcome this pattern of not feeling or thinking good enough definitely, especially as a highly sensitive, intuitive, or empath, what was helpful was to develop a deeper understanding and my wisdom. What worked for me was before helping my body, mind, and soul to change perspective, to understand the true reasons. And then simply do the work and put the effort in until I felt good enough.

From my personal experience as well my experience as inner SUBSTANCE Coach and expert in body-mind-soul communication, when we suffer from negative energy and we have trouble getting rid of it, there are specific reasons for it. When you are smudging, walking in nature and using salt baths, you finally just work on the symptoms. I believe for permanent and sustainable change in life, it would be wiser to work on the root causes.

From my point of view, a better question is to ask yourself: why do I attract or hold on to the negative energies in my life? Am I willing to receive the rewards for my hard work? How can I transform?

What is helpful as I believe is to consciously decide to stop clinging to a life that makes you unhappy.

My tip: Take a stock of your current life  to analyze your current situation. Then in a second step learn to accept yourself: be authentic.
